Texans deserve to feel secure in their own homes. As a survivor of crime and navigating our flawed juvenile justice system, I know firsthand how much progress we’ve made, and how much further we have to go. True safety extends beyond the absence of crime; it entails providing our neighbors with the resources to thrive and the means to prevent and address violence.

Equally important is ensuring that our leaders, lawmakers, and law enforcement agencies are educated and equipped with the knowledge and resources they need to make effective and fiscally responsible decisions.

As your State Representative, I am committed to working collaboratively with my colleagues to address these challenges. My priorities include:

1. Advocate for a Citizen-Centric Budget

   • ​Fight for a budget that supports citizens, eliminating the need for anyone to resort to crimes of survival.

2. Champion Evidence-Based Policies

   • ​Continue shaping policies rooted in evidence-based practices to prevent and address violence effectively.

3. Foster Community-Law Enforcement Trust

   • ​Build trust between our community and law enforcement by holding accountable those who violate the law, ensuring a transparent and accountable system.
